South East Central Railway (SECR) has released a recruitment notification for 08 vacancies under the Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2025. The posts are in Group-C and Erstwhile Group-D categories. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online before the last date 13th July 2025.
This is a great opportunity for candidates who are active members of the Scouts & Guides movement and wish to work with Indian Railways. The selection will be based on a written test and interview.
🚆 About South East Central Railway (SECR)
South East Central Railway (SECR) is one of the 18 railway zones in India, headquartered in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Established in 2003, it operates through important railway divisions like Bilaspur, Raipur, and Nagpur. SECR plays a major role in freight transport and passenger movement in Central India.
As part of its cultural and social responsibilities, SECR regularly recruits candidates under the Scouts and Guides quota to promote leadership and discipline through this national movement.

🎓 Educational Qualification
Group-C Posts:
12th Pass (with at least 50% marks) from a recognized Board.
(50% marks not required for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen or candidates with higher education like Graduation/Post Graduation)
ORITI or Act Apprentice course pass in trades approved by NCVT/SCVT (For Technical posts only – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, S&T departments).
Diploma in Engineering is not accepted as a substitute.
Erstwhile Group-D Posts:
10th Pass OR
ITI OR
National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT
💵 Salary (Pay Scale)
Pay will be according to Level-2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix for both Group-C and Group-D posts.
🎯 Age Limit (As on 01.07.2025)
