The following are the eligibility criteria for the post of Havildar:
- Educational Qualification: 10th Pass from a recognized board.

- Relaxation in age:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- 3 years for OBC candidates.
- 10 years for PWD candidates.
- Physical standards:
- Height: 157 cm for males and 152 cm for females.
- Chest: 81 cm for males and 76 cm for females.
- Weight: 50 kg for males and 45 kg for females.
