Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Scientist position, you must have the following qualifications:
- A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field of biology
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience
- A strong track record of publications in high-impact journals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education Qualification
The educational qualification for the Scientist position is a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field of biology.
Salary
The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) with a starting basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- per month. They will also be entitled to various allowances and benefits as per CCMB’s rules.
Application Fees
The application fee for the Scientist position is Rs. 100/- for General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and Rs. 75/- for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PWD candidates.
Age Limit
The age limit for the Scientist position is 35 years as on 01.01.2023. Relaxation in age limit is available for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates (5 years), OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates (3 years), PwBD (Unreserved / EWS) (10 years), PwBD (OBC candidates) (13 years), and PwBD (SC/ST candidates) (15 years).
Selection Process
The selection process for the Scientist position will consist of a two-stage process:
- Stage 1: Shortlisting based on academic qualifications and research experience
- Stage 2: Interview and Presentation
