- The incumbent will be responsible for providing security to the railway property and passengers.
- The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating railway crimes and apprehending criminals.
Eligibility:
- The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- The candidate must have at least 10 years of service in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) as an Assistant Security Commissioner or equivalent.
- The candidate must have a good knowledge of the Railway Act, Rules, and Regulations.
- The candidate must have a good knowledge of computer applications.
- Must have passed the Departmental Examination for Promotion to the rank of Assistant Security Commissioner (RPF) conducted by the Railway Board.

Selection Process
The selection process for the Assistant Security Commissioner post will be as follows:
- Preliminary Screening of Application Forms
- Written Examination
- Interview
Preliminary Screening of Application Forms
The first step in the selection process will be a preliminary screening of the application forms. The application forms will be screened on the basis of the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Only eligible candidates will be called for the written examination.
Written Examination
The written examination will be an objective type examination consisting of questions on general knowledge, railway rules, and security. The examination will be of 2 hours duration and will be conducted in Hindi or English.
Interview
The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The interview will be conducted to assess the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and suitability for the post.
