Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the aforementioned positions, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Professor:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university
- Teaching and research experience of at least 10 years
- Publication of research papers in reputed journals
- Associate Professor:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university
- Teaching and research experience of at least 8 years
- Publication of research papers in reputed journals
Education Qualification
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
Salary
The selected candidates will be placed in the following pay scales:
- Professor: Level 10A (Rs. 1,35,000 – 2,16,200) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission
- Associate Professor: Level 8 (Rs. 67,000 – 2,05,400) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission
Application Fees
General/OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates: Rs. 1500/- SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates: Rs. 750/- Payment of the application fee can be made through online mode (debit/credit card or net banking) or by submitting a demand draft in favor of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for applying is 60 years for General/OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates and 65 years for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates. Relaxation in the age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to other reserved categories as per the government rules.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of a shortlisting based on the candidate’s academic record and teaching experience, followed by a written test and a personal interview. The written test will assess the candidate’s knowledge of the subject and their aptitude for teaching and research.
